Matt Mounsey

Matt has been the KCB Company Law Tutor on the Qualifying Programme since 2018. Matt also lectured at London South Bank University until 2021 on the MSc in Corporate Governance, focusing on CCA and Company Law.

Matt has worked in senior governance roles for FTSE100 and large private companies, including BAA Ltd, DS Smith plc, L&Q and Brookfield Asset Management plc among others. Matt started his own VC backed tech company in 2013 and thereafter ran a professional practice, helping clients fulfil their compliance requirements and raise grants and investment.

Matt has a law degree from Anglia Ruskin University and an MBA from the University of Central Lancashire. He is an associate member of CGI, having qualified in 2011.

  • Lots of positives from the revision weekend. I liked Matt’s slides and focus on exam questions. Good that he had such a range of past exam material and picked the difficult questions to go through in class.
  • Very happy with the tutor he covered a number of topics, went into detail on answers and covered areas that the group felt they needed more attention on. I like that he went into areas that could get you more than a pass mark if we wanted.
