Elizabeth Richards
Elizabeth has worked in regulation for multiple professional and business sectors, nationally and internationally, for over twenty years. She is a project director at the Financial Reporting Council, looking at the governance of the largest audit firms and standards for audit committees in FTSE 350 companies. Prior to this Elizabeth was Head of Corporate Governance for the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, and in this role she responded to the government’s consultation about restoring trust in audit and corporate governance and assisted the corporate governance select committee. Before that she was a member of the governance and professionalism team of the Financial Conduct Authority which was responsible for implementing recommendations made by the Parliamentary Commission on Banking Standards after the global financial crisis of 2007-2008. Elizabeth is a fellow of the Chartered Governance Institute and an ex student of KCB.
